On a Wednesday morning of the Old Geezer Early Pheasant Hunt, my wife and I were fortunate to stop and talk to a very remarkable man. A very nice, retired military veteran, age 92 out hunting roosters, dog-less by himself...
"Oh...In this heat, I got one by sticking near the water...This is my 76th hunting season..."
As a young pup of 66, I guess I'll stop whining about a sore back during and after my short walks in the uplands with the wife and dog.

Outstanding!

I like hearing that sort of thing. Hopefully we can all do that!

I love stuff like this! No excuses for not doing something, just strapping up and getting after it! Every day you have the choice to be great or to waste your remaining heart beats. I bet that old boy has been a high stepper his whole life.
My grandpa Blanchard was 78 years young when he had his first stroke. He was 4 miles from the truck elk hunting. He wasnt complaining about a gated road and not being able to drive everywhere under the sun. He hiked with a hitch in his step from a .38 cal slug but he still hunted hard. No excuses, always moving forward.
Good on you T-bone for getting out there and doing the same. Bet you'll still be trying to high step and 90 as well

Appreciate the inspiration! At this rate, that's about when I'll be done with chauffering these kids! There is hope for me yet!

I hear you guys. I had to use the wheelbarrow to move bait down to the treestand last night.
#neverstopneverstopping, I turn 30 this year

Good lord, that sounds brutal. I'm 35, I don't even know how I can still stand vertically.

Great story T-Bone. When it hurts to get out of bed in the morning, i like to think of it as a reminder of what i did yesterday, not an excuse not to do something today.

What you do today is important, because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.
