Title: Fun New Gun
Post by: Mongo Hunter on October 04, 2019, 07:19:05 AM
Finally got this thing set up the way I wanted and take it shooting. Anyone contemplating buying one of these "firearm's", you should. They are not that bad to shoot at all and friends get a kick out of them. I know the practical application of one of these is debatable, I'm not getting into that, I'm just saying they're fun and no you wont "knock your teeth out" with one lol.

Smile says it all

What are the specs?

Unfortunately mine is an off brand gun. its made by Emperor Firearm's (Turkey) and is called "the duke". Its not even on their web site and the ones I can find on the internet don't look like mine lol. The info I can find is just the basic 14.25" barrel and 26.6" overall to classify it as a "firearm". This was a birthday present so Im not going to complain but I would recommend the Shockwave or Tac14 just for sake of you can get support on it if needed/find parts.

Mongo is right, these things are surprisingly fun to shoot.  Mine is a Rem Tac14 that originally had the birdshead/shockwave grip but I put the SB Tac arm brace kit on mine and though it definitely added some length to it, it's more enjoyable for the whole family to shoot, but in either configuration, they're fun to mess around with and IMO, are a good option for home protection.  I'm wanting to put a light on mine but the only setups for a light I've seen have mostly been home built.

A buddy of mine has one similar to this.  He calls it "The Bitch"

I agree, they are fun to shoot.
They can also bust the hell out of your knuckles if you aren't gripping it properly.

if you get the Magpul pump handle for it they have MLOK slots in them and you could mount a small piece of rail, or just bolt a piece of rail to the grip and run with it

That's what mine has, I just haven't seen a setup I liked yet because they all run a light off to the side and I'd prefer something underneath.  I think I saw a home built deal where they ran a light off of the tube or something like that but I could be thinking of something else, I don't exactly recall.  Regardless, these things are fun to shoot and don't cost a great deal of money.

That's funny!  Can't say mine is my couch gun, the wife would probably draw the line on that idea, but it is my nightstand gun.

You lucky b*stard! LOL

Nah, I can't really complain to much, even though I do anyway, she lets me pretty much do and have whatever I want, within reason of course, so I better keep her around.

Yes, there are slots underneath, but if you use them to mount a light, where does you hand go?
