Leaving in the morning for Jackson, Wyoming. Good luck everyone!

Knock 'em down, everyone. Here's to having more meat than your freezer can take!

I'm jealous, my trip is still several weeks away. Post up some pics for those poor souls like myself that are stuck at the office for the opening weekend.

Headed out to chase some true spikes in the morning. Hopefully we can get my son or nephew on one. Always run into some characters opening weekend. My 13 year old son gets a kick out of some of the city folk we see during elk season. So at least we can look forward to that

Not a whole lot of snow in the area of the Ruby that we hunted over the weekend. None when we got there and only a couple of inches fell over the weekend. Plenty of cold though - five degrees yesterday and this morning and the roads are pretty snotty all the way up to Missoula. Saw plenty of elk though and our season was over by 08:30 Saturday morning.

Thx for the report Twisp River. I will be there in two weeks.

Welp, was a fun camping trip, lol. No elk this year. Saw zero sign of them at all. But all in all, it's always a fun time getting away from work and out in the woods.
Saw a ton of moose, a lot of deer and even some cat and wolves track. A few bear track appeared in the fresh snow around our camp but we never could find it. One BIG set of bear track at the top of a ridge as well, seemed that big guy was just cruzing through though
