Hello folks,
I got a chance to come to the east side for some turkeys...it looks like Cheney has almost no public land, but I am going to try the little spots there are.
Now I'm out of school hopefully I can school myself a little more outside, but I got the chance to come over so...
Don't get me wrong I live in the woods on solar and eat my garden and meat I catch and raise, but would really like some wild turkey. Haven't had any since moving out here from Ky.
So, is Cheney worth running around for the next few days?!?!
Hope everyone is having a great season.
Thanks in advance
Mike

I live a little north of Cheney, and have a hundred birds a day in the front field. How many you want?
-
Hehe are u serious?
My wife and I have 2 tags each.

BTW, I feed 30-40 people a week and would love to give them an awesome Thanksgiving. And it's not just throwing food away. I reiunite broken families and all kinds of cool stuff but It's ok if ur joking.

With a name like Pastormike, I figured you'd be a good guy! Im serious, this flock could use a little thinning. I'll send you a pm.

It looks like just south of Cheney in Pleasant Valley there is a large number of areas from the WDFW hunting program, GMU 139. Check out the website and see if any are open for turkey. Though you could probably fill all four of the tags at HornHoarder's place if you can both handle a shotgun decent. Good luck and God Bless.

Ran though Spring canyon at Roosevelt the day before the modern deer opener, had to be a thousand in this one field, ran back to Grand Coulee and went to the Bar and ran into a few golf buddies that live over there. They knew the guy and drove me out there.
Was introduced and started bsing, if I ever need a spot to get a bird or deer I’ve got a place.
Meeting the locals, and getting to know them well for a few years is a huge bonus in any hunting situation. Me and my partner filled our second deer doe tags on another buddies property east of there opening morning. And he’s got a s-ton of birds too. They seem to be everywhere up there. It’s just a really long way to drive for me just for a couple of birds.
Best of luck on your adventure, it’s beautiful country to visit
Especially with a near guarantee when you arrive!

Spring canyon is a cool place

Wow, what a great group! And yeah, my opinion isn't worth much more than a Happy meal, but me thinks it's not what you know near as much as who.
Excited about today!

I think Russ is right, but, don't forget, you need a tag for each bird.
