Title: Utah, archery deer east of SLC.
Post by: lokidog on November 04, 2019, 11:50:43 AM
I am heading down there for Thanksgiving weekend as I was not able to hunt it during the August hunt.

Has anyone hunted the area?  Any ideas of what to expect?

Thanks

Where at east of SLC-Parleys Canyon, East Canyon, Big or Little Cottonwood canyons, Park City area?Lot of options.  I grew up hunting that country, but that was a long time ago. Now a lot of it is private and public land is mostly pretty steep and rugged.  Lot of oak brush country, if you're not familiar with it, oak brush is thick and tough to hunt.

Cottonwood, I've been told. Luckily I will be hunting with a friend and his friend is a local.

Pretty steep country, ski resorts there and lots of hikers.  Probably compare to hunting around the top of Snoqualmie summit.  Probably be hunting around 5000-6000 ft altitude.
