Title: Hunter looking for a little help on where to go
Post by: Kmay0117 on November 05, 2019, 09:01:23 AM
Looking for places to go deer hunting I know the west side of the mountains are crowded and east would be nice if I had a long weekend. I live on west side traveling to Capitol forest and the peninsula during the general season lots of sign but no luck. Should I cut my losses and go somewhere else? I can only hunt the two days of late buck season and I'm willing walk if there's gates. I have a weyerhauser walk in permit for the chelan area also.

If you have found an area with lots of sign I would continue to work that area.  :twocents:
With only 2 days I would not want to try a new area and possibly be somewhere there is no sign and no animals.

If there are animals there, pack a lunch and hunt that area.
Scouting is when you want to log miles.
Hunting is where you put what you learned to use.
Find a good spot to sit near where you found good sign, and be patient.
