Title: 410 for grouse?

Load of grouse with. I’d prefer it had a full choke but
I dance with the girl I brought. I limit my shots to 25 yards or less

I have a Hercules single shot that i was given at 10 by my grandfather. Longish barrel, full choke, kills them dead every time from stick distance out to about 35 yards...which is as long as i go on them.

I use contender with 10inch barrel good to a max of 25 yards. Killed 8 grouse in camp with it this yr no choke but a wad stop

Post by: Bofire on November 07, 2019, 05:17:17 PM: Model 37 Winchester 410 3 inch full choke. Got it from Grandpa Pete in 1956, still have it. Killed hundreds of grouse and Pheasants, 4,5,6 shot 3 inch. and does not tear them to shreds.

Because my experience with a 410 has always been good.
