How long apart did he come in?  Minutes, hours later on the same day, next day...?  Thanks for the bit re calling him in twice.  This kind of info is gold.

As much as I despise hunting whitetails, they are a handsome deer.

Out of curiosity (having never hunted them myself), why do you despise hunting whitetails?

Not answering for him, but generally speaking Super Mule Deer fanatics aren't very keen on whitetails.

When it comes to gracing the vast open landscapes of the West with a touch of majesty, nothing beats a broad-racked mule deer. 

… but when it comes to wariness and value as table fare... hard to compete with a whitetail...  :sry: Plus the facial markings, such as the eye-rings and throat patches, are very nice.
