IMO you’ll be better off asking for opinions on specific units once you have it narrowed down a little bit. Not many guys willing to throw their favorite units out there for everybody to read.

From there, narrow down the area to hunt by topography of your liking and amount of access (roads) you want, and send it. You'll be happy in most places over there.

PS. IDFG has a damn good hunt planner tool on their website that also give the true draw odds.

I doubt your going to fill your bull tag in Entiat, draw odds for elk in 45 are not that bad, don’t know about 11.

Most the elk migrated to Wyoming to get away from out of state hunters. :chuckle:

Post by: Stein on December 06, 2019, 09:52:01 AM: MT special draw for premium units will leave you with lottery type odds. It's managed for opportunity so there are surprisingly few really good draw tags compared to other states and the odds reflect it.
