Post by: branches on December 14, 2019, 08:44:08 PM: That is awesome bull but what makes a great bull is the bull. It could be a 6 pt or a 7 pt or even a 5 pt it just depends on the bull that we get so see. Every bull is different in there own way and that is what makes them so great. :tup:

The perfect elk on ground can change with a variety of factors. But my dream bull will always be a mature big frame minimum 6 per side with extras, mass, and color is huge for me black with ivory tips.

Post by: 444Marlin on December 19, 2019, 10:12:17 PM: I took my son out last spring on his 5th birthday to do some scouting, and we saw a cow elk bedded down with a new born calf. We watched them for the better part of the morning from a neighboring ridge. I told my son that calf was going to grow up to be the "Bull of the Woods". He thought that was pretty cool.

That was about the most perfect elk I've witnessed.
