Next year I'm going all in on getting my first bear. Ive found a lot of spots I have planned for spot and stalk but I've read quite a bit here on calling bears, which is something I'd like to give a shot.
So what does everyone recommend for a beginner hand call? I'm new to calling in general and I'll be holding calling off as a backup plan.
Any input would be great, thanks

I have a rainshadow and a bearmanric raspy like fawn distress style. Both are great and sponsors on here. I’ve probably got a couple dozen hand calls though, if you want just a dependable call shoot me a PM with your info and I’ll send you a primos bear buster if I can find which box it’s in. Works well for coyotes too!

That's a hell of an offer and I do appreciate it but I couldn't ask you to do that. I was just looking to see what guys are using and where a good starting point would be for me. I don't think I'd be using it all that much because I do think I've got some good glassing spots and some bear veterans to lean on.
I'll look into those guys you mentioned though, do they have a website or something I can find online?
