Militia Standing Against Tyrant In Virginia Who Failed To Learn His History

Generally not a fan of federal intervention upon matters of states' police powers. But here, where states pursue a registration and confiscation scheme that would disenfranchise millions of their 2A rights, with essentially no rational relation to a legitimate state police function, then I am able to be persuaded that the federal government has a duty to step in.
For example:

See also, reconstruction and federal oversight of states' education and voting systems, Arizona border enforcement, etc.

the libs must have never seen the state seal....
-
They can care less as there is no apparent consequences for dishonoring the constitution, especially if you are a politician.
-
Exactly, which is what I was attempting to suggest as a possible consequence, federal intervention in your states' business.
Make no mistake, this VA nonsense is coming here, as there are already bills pre-filed for 2020 in WA.

But Washingtonians are pacifists, not like Virginians.

There are a lot of passive aggressive folks in W Wa and Im not sure that would work in the same way with a bunch of stiff necked Virginians.

If Virginia does, in the future, pass laws that violate the second amendment isn't the Supreme Court the constitutionally prescribed remedy to set those laws aside? Unless I'm wrong about that I'm not quite sure how militias and sanctuary counties figure into the equation.

They figure in just exactly like sanctuary cities/counties/states do for disregarding/frustrating Federal Law enforcement.
I don't like the precedent, but it has been set.

They want to shut down every gun range in the state that isn’t owned by the government.
https://www.lawenforcementtoday.com/breaking-virginia-vows-to-shut-down-all-gun-ranges-not-owned-by-the-state/
According to House Bill 567, any indoor shooting range would be prohibited by law – UNLESS it was inside of a building owned or leased by the state.
And any business owners who decided to defy the law could be facing up to a $100,000 fine and potential additional civil penalties.
And the ones allowed to stay open will have to have complete records of whoever shoots there. Because that registration won't happen voluntarily.

Apparently the Legislators of Virginia either didn't learn or forgot what happened in Concord when the British tried to take the guns away from the Militia

Boy.!!! This government is getting way out of control. What is going on.

Wonder what kind of mischief is going to be had, by groups like pantifa. On the 20th.

THE 2020 VIRGINIA SHOWDOWN
https://www.americanpartisan.org/2020/01/the-2020-virginia-showdown/
"in all of history there has never been a civil war where, at the outset of hostilities, the resisting indigenous population was armed to the teeth with rifles capable of making 500 to 1,000 yard aimed precision shots. Never."
-
20 k showed up.
Wish we could get that in WA.

It was a peaceable assembly, a right also guaranteed by the Constitution which the Democrats likely have plans to take away as well.
Great photo collection on the Richmond, Virginia second amendment rally yesterday.
