I was thinking about some barbequed kabobs, smoked salmon and my "soon to be famous" elk burger sliders to go along with chips, salsa and homemade pickled beans.
-
Burger bar. Black bean sliders. Chips and snacks. 7 layer dip with fresh guacamole a must have.
-
Super what?
Blackmouth season opens Saturday....
-
Afte getting jacked around by dish, we pulled the plug on tv over 10 years ago.........absolutely nothing we miss, ever.
-
wings wings wings wings and more wings
Chief will be the winner of this one no problem :IBCOOL:
-
Were getting fancy and doing costco pizzas
-
Providing beverages and smoked brisket sliders and slaw. Everyone else is bringing an appetizer to share. It is a great excuse to have people over...a little less stress with the Hawks not playing but still whish they were in it. Looking forward to the commercials too. Lame line-up for halftime but oh well. I love Super Bowl Sunday

What superbowl?, Have not watched an NFL game since the first knee was taken and couldn't care less about who is playing who, Personally those clowns are wearing costumes not uniforms.
sounds like this may not be the topic for ya then
:yeah: :yeah: :yeah:

I'd like to do ribs, but our plans are not set yet. maybe some deviled eggs on the traeger....
-
I'm providing pulled pork sliders and salmon dip.
-
I scheduled a fishing trip and we all three of us just realized we will be heading home from lake Roosevelt Sunday evening lol oh well. We will probably be doing fast food.
-
Elk chili, topped with chopped sweet onions and a handful of shredded sharp cheddar, and, a big pan of honey cornbread. I think Mrs. Wapiti is pondering some finger snacks (Queso dip n; chips, sliced veggies n' cream cheese, not sure?).
-
I think I might do a moose roast on the Traeger or maybe moose burgers as they are a favorite with my wife and son.
-
Made this for the playoffs and thinking about a repeat.
-
I am lazy when it comes to sports watching food, probably pigs-n-blankets. quick easy and bad for me!
If not that then nachos.

Looks great Beaumont. Wing recipe?
-
I try and match the regional cuisine of wherever the Super Bowl is being played.... so this year I'm thinking Cubanos and spanish rice/black beans/fried plantains. I'll also probably have moose sliders and some wings. Ads and a Chiefs win would be good. Halftime show is a blah from me.
-
Nice!
-
The actual halftime show is when you hit the restroom and restock supplies. Commercials breaks are usually better than the halftime show anyways. I'm just hoping for a good game and not a blow out. Blow outs are only fun when your team is playing. :chuckle:
-
Thinking about throwing a elk neck roast in the slow cooker and having bbq sandwich.

Lokidog ate you fishing the resurrection derby?

Ribs and baked beans in the smoker, venison jerky/peps/summer sausage on the snack platter with a few smoked cheeses. And of course, whiskey.

Roll the credits, you are a man after my heart. I want pictures!
I have 3 dozen wings ready to go on my Traeger Sunday morning. Also picked up some spicy peanut sauce from Fire on the Mountain.
-
Pulledpork street tacos, "over the top" chili, something else off the smoker. Oh yeah, beer. :chuckle:
-
Sounds like Hot Wings, meatballs for subs, chips, dips, should be a great spread! For a very good hors d'oeuvre, try this.
Nacho cheese doritos
Frito-Lay bean dip
A dab of Red Devil hot sauce.
That's it... Delicious...your welcome! House favorite around our place.

Bunch of grinchy old curmudgeons :chuckle: It’s just a football game for Cripes sakes. It’s actually pretty entertaining, and, you’ll miss all the new commercials.
-
On a whim....grabbed 3 doz fresh local oysters. Cleaned and shucked into a kosher salt and maple sugar brine.....24 hour cure then hot smoked in the trager tomorrow.
-
This thread seems to be about what foods people are making for the super bowl. Not whether or not you’re watching the game. Please keep it on track.
-
Instapot short ribs with a Korean bbq sauce.
-
$$$
Have a couple flights during game time
-
I think I’ll help make 3 grades of gasoline, some diesel, a little bit of jet for the boys at Whidbey, some electricity for all the stoves and TVs tomorrow, some propane for ya’lls grills and some other stuff I don’t care to look up the spelling of. 😉
-
Walleye fish taco's, hot wings and some egg rolls.

Cooked during the night smelled awesome, tastes a little bland this morning, I don’t taste the cocoa either.
At least she’ll have something to eat at the clubs chili cook off, and I’ll get to taste them all.😉
-
elk chili, chips, and dip
just found out we are also having pineapple/mango sweet and sour elk backstrap :EAT:
-
😉🇺🇸🇺🇸
Haha does that make it a sandwich?
-
Pulled pork nachos, carnitas burrito bar, pigs in a blanket, and the usual chips n dip/veggie spread.
-
Venison chili and corn bread.
-
Elk and blacktail chili. Hank Shaw inspired japense elk meatballs, back wrapped scallops with homemade teriyaki. And a whiskey sour... glaze(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200203/c41d07be6cfa5291cf925fd4b9fd3dbb.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200203/f00e5d21c04d615876bb13ac1d02a6ff.jpg)(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200203/3e5d5743f73e0d38888de7fc4bb9d077.jpg)

Excellent, that’s more important than eating too much! :chuckle:
-
For the record Dana made an excutive decision. Beef chili and corn bread :yike: 😉🥃🇺🇸
-
Your guys’ grub looked real good. I’ll have to refer back to this post when I have folks over. Had to work today and we had corndogs with mustard. Too busy for a proper cookout.
-
I did a tri-tip roast on the smoker. 225 until the IT hit 135, then pulled it and put it in foil. Cranked the smoker to high, and when it hit temperature I took the roast out of the foil and put it back on for four minutes a side. Salt, pepper, and Musket Powder.

The wife didn’t place in the cook off, but a buddy of mines wife mad a killer elk chili with jalapeño poppers in it that was killer, she didn’t place either. But it was the best there.
The judges this year liked the sweet chili’s better.🤔

It was good to see you Bro. Hopefully we can make it more than an annual affair.

Chicken wings... Tasty, extra easy recipe... Dredge and fry your wings in flour seasoned with salt, pepper and Asian 5 spice. When done coat in a mixture of 1/3 cup bbq sauce, 1/3 cup soy and 1/3 cup honey that has been cooked and reduced... Yum!
