I'm looking into setting up a trust either online or with a lawyer. Anybody have experience with both? Which way did you go and why? If you did use a lawyer, would you recommend them?

I went with the trust through silencer shop. Did most everything online and at the kiosk. Went with it so I could add my wife.

Did you use Scott at On Target?

These are the guys I used. Great group for keeping everything straight regarding NFA.

Thanks guys, I have checked out those options, next step I guess is have a consult. The kiosk option looks very streamlined and simple no doubt which makes it tempting. There is quite a cost difference between the two, but maybe the added cost for a trust prepared by a lawyer is worth it. The biggest thing for me is having options for the family in the future.

If your needs may evolve over the years with stuff like growing families and expanding estates I would go with the attorney option. If it’s strictly getting a can in hand for the least out of pocket go the kiosk route. No shame in either game. My 2cents

That's where I had my suppressor sent to and that's where I did my kiosk work, yes.

You are able to add and remove people from the trust through silencer shop, just not with the single trust. I think I paid $130 or somewhere around there and it gets you pretty much everything that an attorney trust gets you for a lot less money. If the attorney trust gives you peace of mind then go for it. I just didn't see much added benefit going that route.

Only way to fly.
