Title: What's up with this beaver
Post by: Trapper John on February 27, 2020, 09:09:53 PM: Well I doing a complaint job and I caught this beaver today.
Nice size critter except its feet were all peeling. I have =never seen this in all of my years of beaver trapping.
It must me a bug eating at it or he is chewing on them for some reason.
I seen this over in Eastern Washington while trapping muskrats. When the water warmed up a bug (mite or flea) was on them.

Nope it was in a stream :dunno: It dammed it up and flooded the property
I caught two this was the only one like this.

I think it was in contact with some mud that had some kind high level of bacterial action in it. Possibly causing heat build up along with the bacteria. My theory anyway.
I think there was nothing wrong with the beaver It was where it died.
