Long ish post. I’m a new trapper and have tried hard to learn. We all know experience is our best teacher and I’m short on that. I post questions here once in a while and watch a lot of YouTube. Long story short is someone on this site answered up and has helped me so much. After just a couple outings I am twice the trapper I was before. My message for you veterans is to pass on your awesome knowledge. I had no idea how much I didn’t know. Example- I have been on a cold streak for a month. Born2late came out with me a couple times and the experience made me a different trapper. He didn’t have to. He offered and I took him up. We set six traps yesterday and five were sprung today. We had three good beaver. Two were empty. That’s right, I said we. He came out to help again on a Sunday morning at daybreak. My point? Clearly if this amazing sport is going to be continue on then you great veterans are the key.

Great stuff!
I am not a trapper, but @Naches Sportsman went above and beyond for me when I drew a Ewe tag. @Tracker0721 and @campmeat helped me with Spring Bear, and @snowshoes22 helped me put a 12 year old first time hunter onto his first Doe.
Such great people on this site!

I 100% agree. My coworker has mentored me and I have done a lot better than I would have. He is from New Hampshire. He has been trapping since he was 14 he also lived and trapped in Alaska. I plan on passing along my knowledge, in hopes of maintaining our right to trap.

I have been on this sight since the first month of existence, and it is posts like these, that keep me glued here.
There are a ton of good quality people, and a few "entertaining" ones, and great owner, that make Hunting Washington worth coming back too.

Not sure if I should thank Born2late or curse him for all the work he is causing me.
