Title: Where to pattern shotgun?
Post by: arintime on April 08, 2009, 11:55:48 PM: I am wanting to pattern my shotgun next week for turkey loads and I don't know where to go to. Any suggestions? I have pushed my turkey hunt back a week to give me the chance to get that done, but I still don't know where to go. I live in Gig Harbor an I can travel east or west. I am also looking at doing this either wednesday or thursday (15th or 16th :'(). So, I don't want to be in the way of anyone actually hunting. Any suggestions would be wonderful! Arent you aware of any state land or private timberland in your area where you can test fire your ammo? Gotta be a gate somewhere you can take a stroll behind...

i have to drive a long ways to get to the woods where i can legally shoot. i can drive about 20 minutes or so and be in the woods, but there is no target shooting allowed. too many dirtbags throwing too much junk and leaving too much trash behind after shooting has ruined it for us up here.

They only allow you to pattern with 7.5/8/9 shot. No turkey loads allowed.
