I found this for a good price so I grabbed it to use as a coyote/critter hunting rifle.

Here's the specs:
-Pierce RBLP single shot action
-26" Barlein 8" twist barrel (#4 contour)
-Jewell Trigger
-Manners MCS-T stock
Performance should be right between a 22/250 and 22/250 AI. I already had some 6.5x47 Lapua brass sitting around as well as some 22/250 brass that I formed to 6.5x47 Lapua a few years back. It came with a set of dies so all I really need are some bullets. The only .224 bullets I have sitting on the shelf are some 50gr V-Maxs left over from the 221 Fireball. I try not be seen with too many of those small bore components sitting around, I have a reputation to keep up. :chuckle: I do have a couple of different bullets in the 75-80gr range on the way to play with. I think that's about the ideal weight range for a case this size in a 1-8" twist barrel.
The NXS on there is just a hold over until I decide what I really want to use. I need something that's the right size/weight to keep the rifle well balanced.

That was actually my original plan for this project, I was going to build a 22 Dasher pistol. I stumbled onto this rifle and thought it would make a good donor action and I could sell off the stock to recover a couple bucks. Once I got the rifle with the dies I figured I may as well just have a little fun burning up this barrel. It only has about 95 round through it (I trust the seller on that) so I may have a little time left before I tear it apart.

Sure! The more bullets to play with, the better!

The 88gr ELD-M’s would be allot of fun in that chambering and twist.👍

I’ll send em with your steak flipper.

I finally got a chance to shoot this today. I'm just starting to work up a load, but the 77gr Tipped Matchking is looking pretty good. They're moving at 3620 fps and holding .5 MOA at 250 yards right now. I think it can do a little better though.
