I know there are some of you who are in the water right now...and I’m jealous. So please show your catch, post your quarantine opener pics here!

I've heard multiple reports that the Kalama is PACKED today. Won't be long we'll be shut down again unfortunately.

Probably safer than the grocery store or hardware stores from what I've seen.

I hope they headed up river! Its not open in the Kalama stretch unless they are shad/sturgeon fishing. Chinook is from Warrior Rock to Bonny in the lower stretch! I am plunking in Portco, saw 1 fish caught on anchor for dozens of boats.

I assume when he says "the Kalama" he's talking about the Kalama River. It's about the only game in town for tributary springers.

:yeah: the idiot governor has moved on from flattening the curve to not overwhelm the medical system to were gonna save all people from all things while killing the economy & sinking Trump at the same time. In the meantime there are a lot of people doing less work from home, getting paid to stay home & making more money on enhanced unemployment than working that are fine with the madness. What a giant turd show this has become!
Quite a few boats at Sekiu this morning

My mistake, I did not think any of the lower tribs were open for salmon at all this season, even prior to Covid.

Buddy and his wife are out. No pics in this thread yet so I’ll post theirs

I'll be out in a couple hours for the evening bite on a local lake with my little one. Hoping he gets to reel in his first trout today.

dandy catch, congrats to them

Mrs Stein, myself and the Koke Smoker had a great short trip. I will admit my mood improved 1000% getting out of the house.

2 buddies and I were on the troll. No hits no nothing. Very busy water were we were at. Only heard of 4 being caught. :dunno: other than that. Fresh air was great

No pictures, hard to take pictures when the boy won't hold the fish :chuckle: He didn't want to reel, but he wanted to net. :IBCOOL: He netted about 20 little planters today and one nice one that he was thrilled about. Had a lot of fun on the water with a 2.5 year old yelling, "GET IN THE NET FISH!" followed by, "GOT YOU FISH! HA!"
-
That's funny, last year my son really got into netting pinks. Good news for all is that he is better than I am so our boating ratio went up considerably.

Made it out Thursday

He seems to understand intuitively what to do. Get fish in net and lift and pull! He's getting quite good at it. I didn't net my first fish until I was like 12 so he's way ahead of me!
