anybody hunt these units, just wanted to see how everybody did maybe swap some info
-
I poked around in ther last season. I spent most of my time a little farther west. I found it pretty hard to find land that wasn't private or backed up against a main road. I did find a couple places though. Have you been hunting there for a while or just starting out?
-
ive been hunting in there for about 2 yrs now
-
Any luck? I live in Poulsbo, so 633 is about the only place that I can get to after work and have any light left. I walked some closed gates, I will have to dig out my maps to let you know where exactly, I saw a lot of sign but I didn't get into there until the last half of the season. It looked like you could probably find something if you got in there before everything started feeling presure. I was planing to get out there this summer to look around.

i missed a shot on a nice 2pt, but my buddy tagged it last day of late buck
-
It's nice to know that somebody got something out of there.
-
we have a nice area in 633 hundreds of does so if you muzzle its great on 4 people i know of hunt the area, i live down the road from it so we see if anybody goes in there, we know of several big bucks in yrs past that have been taken out of there pasted on a spike several times in there also
-
what season do you hunt in
?
-
Modern so far but I have been practicing with my bow. I'm not sure that I am quite comfortable enough with it yet though for this season.
-
i also do modern but for deer muzzle for elk, ive been drawn 2 out of 3 yrs for multi deer and elk once so that has helped out
-
Nice. I like the idea of the multi season but hate the price tag. IK got 3 young kids so that extra 160 is a lot to give up ya know.
-
yeah try muzzle its a kick in the pants with a good season plus you can shoot a doe if it comes down to it in some units
-
I'll look into it. I gotta put the kids to bed and show the bunny where to put the eggs, I'll send you a PM with the road I was off of and I'll let you know if I think of anything else.

sounds good

I grew up hunting 636. Are you looking mostly to the north end of the unit?
-
pretty much all over 636 every yr its different
-
There is still some good hunting in the Canyon River area and up the 630 road if you are willing to bust some brush.
-
whatever it takes
-
Still trying to find the map that I hilighted. I may have to break down and take a drive this weekend.
-
I hunt 636 and 621 for the last 15 years. I do not make it to 633 much anymore, I grew up hunting it though. Canyon river always produces bucks, It looks like I will not be hunting the 600 line this year after this posting. We have taken many big bucks off the 800 line in the flat around hanks lake. Behind Nahwatzel is another good area. We take better bucks out of the south end of 621 more consistently.
