Hey all! I was drawn for late season Jan 1-15 cow tag in the mashel. It is a late season muzzle tag. I’m hoping to have a bull down by then and eat the special permit but I’m going to prepare to use the tag. I have only been in the unit 1 other time! What should i expect for elk activity around that time frame and any pointers in the unit? I’ll scout and figure it all out but info is always appreciated! Which part of the unit to start at Exc. Thanks boys. Hope all is well in this crazy time. Stay safe! I will post pics

It's a damage tag it's not the whole unit. I've hunted this tag a couple times and it's been a fun hunt. Good luck.

Thanks for that info. Glad you made me double check. Do the timber companies let you hunt there land with this tag?

Only if you buy a permit. There is a little state land you can hunt. This tag was alot better before they changed the boundary. Had 2 friends that drew it and had hancock permits both hunts were done in less that 30 min.
