I am in the market for a wood stove for my 16 x16 wall tent, I am retired (older) so i will not be packing in, Not really worried about weight. I will be elk hunting in cold weather so need a good stove that will heat and be able to cook on. Any suggestions would be appriecated. I was looking at the Griz stove from Idaho stove, Does anybody know anything about these. Thanks Larry

I have a two dog and a three dog, from Three Dog Stove Co.
I also have cylinder stove.
There is a guy down south makes stove to order, prices looked good.

This is who I recommend to everybody looking for a tent stove. He does an incredible job. Will modify any way you want. Has good prices. And the stoves work fantastic. The first picture looks like the one we goy for my brother in law. Call Joe and tell him what your looking for and he will give great input and fix you up!

Three Dog are awesome, but I'm not sure he is building them anymore.

Thanks for the feedback. I will check into these

I've had a few cylinder Stoves worked great but was looking into 3dog Stoves as mentioned earlier but not sure if he still makes them.
Make sure you get one that has a baffle in the fire box that keeps the sparks from going up.
Spark arresters on the end of the stove pipe don't always work when stoking up the fire.
Had some shoot thru and burned some good holes in wall tent.
That's why I was looking into 3dog.The ones that HNTNFSH Posted the link to look pretty nice

I run a Colorado cylinder stove spruce model in my Alaknak 12x12. Its alright, not the best when its super cold (single digits), so for that im considering getting a larger stove but for the most part I love it. Most of the time it burns long enough to have coals in the morning but not always

When I contacted the owner of 3dog ~last year, he was only making titanium stoves...no longer made them from steel.

I recently ordered one from the wall tent shop. I had a confirmation from the owner less than 20 minutes from the purchase that it would be shipped that day. The stove was on my doorstep, no kidding, less then 24 hours from me hitting the submit button. From Moscow Idaho, no shipping, no tax.

I would buy a square box stove.
I a cylinder too, I bought used. But in my opinion the box stoves work better. :twocents:

If I had it to do over again, I would get the next size bigger so it would hold enough wood to last into the morning.
