That's a gorgeous place to fish, I just can't seem to figure it out though.

Not many fish in the lake. Looks like a way to sell licenses.

The one thing I do know is to wait until they get a good amount of fish trucked up.

Is 1,500 fish enough for it to be "on fire" or is it better to wait a bit until they truck more fish in?

It won't be on fire for sure.

Baker lake is the only fishery where it doesn’t bother me when I get skunked, it’s so dang beautiful up there.

It was a really good opener on Baker Lake.  Saw lots of fish caught on Saturday.  We caught 7 and lost another 5.  Left before 9.  Went up on Sunday and started fishing shortly after 5:30 and were limited by 7:30 with 6 fish and had lost another 4.  Didn’t see as many fish caught Sunday, but still a fair amount.  Probably the best bite I have seen in a few years.  Maybe opening it later in July helped with a hotter bite.  Not sure, but it was a fun one.

Sounds fun. Any size?

Hopefully they keep moving fish in.  If not it sounds like it was pretty good with what they did move already.

Thanks for the report.
