Alright, we’ve gone back and forth and I think we have settled on our RV/trailer decision. Looking for the best place to find a used (or good deal on new) 8.5x24’ v nose enclosed trailer. This will give us enough room to build small living quarters, and still haul our Camaro to drive around, and to long distance shows we like to go to. Figured out we wouldn’t have been able to do the camper and trailer combo so we settled on 2 out of the 3 uses (Camp, boat, car). I hate buying off craigslist and dealing with flaky sellers but thinking that is the only option. Any other suggestions on where to look?

Not sure if they have what you are looking for but Apache in Everett is where we bought our trailer...low pressure and we are very happy. I can't remember the salesman's name but can find it for you if end up going there...great guy.

We found exactly what we were looking for, under our budget, and only 2 years old! 8.5x24’ v-nose with 10k axles and ramp door. Just finished the insulation tonight, and started laying out counters and where the fresh tank and electrical rigging is going. Got the bed design started for an elevator bed as well. Pretty good start for only having it for a week so far! Should be ready for the first trip in a couple of weeks. Everything should go quick except the electrical, not looking forward to that. Going to call in an electrician buddy to do the 120v converter and whatnot. Couple photos. The Ecoboost towed it like a dream, other than the part of I90 being a terrible road!(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200728/b0789be5c4091bb7a356aba8eef70d1f.jpg)

You got some work ahead of you.

That's a good deal on Honeycrisp

Glad you found the right trailer.
How's the Camaro?

I see "used" or good deal on new. I guess it will depend on exactly what you want in the end. Myself, not having the hammer swinging gene, opted for new and had mine built to "spec". I feel for the quality of trailer they build you can't beat the price as compared to trailers built around here. That said I recommend Double "R" Trailers out of Nampa Idaho. They will build you anything thing you want, with what ever extras you want. Just a car hauler, or a food truck/trailer, fifth wheel, gooseneck, trailer RV, horse trailer w/wo living quarters, what ever you want they will build it from the ground up. Great people to work with and a superior end product compared to other trailers around. I went 8 X 18 to haul my side by side, and convert hunting camp sleeping quarters on top of the mountain. Very happy with our purchase, it has served us well in just the first year.

Glad you found the right trailer.
How's the Camaro?
Camaro is being a typical 50 year old neglected (before we bought it)project car. Turned itself into a 2stroke and started drinking oil. Hoping it will hold out till winter and it’ll get a heart transplant (punched out 454). 396 will get put on the shelf for a future rebuild.

Those are the apples that are too big to pack for stores. About the size of a softball so you get like 30-40 apples total in a 20# box

Figured I’d add a couple new photos of the progress. Work was delayed on it a few weeks so it still isn’t finished, but getting close. All electrical is done, load lights added above the ramp door, plumbing is done, sink installed. Only thing left this year is to fab the lift mechanism for the bed.

I dont think I could sleep in something that doesnt have windows. I'm not normally claustrophobic but...
Looks like your project is coming along nicely. Good luck and enjoy.

Well, designed and built the lift mechanism for the bed. Failed horribly and didn’t work good enough when I installed it. Going to redo it with better components this winter. Got the bed lifted up and pinned in place manually with some help from the neighbor today. Need to shave 1/4” off the ends of the frame that slide in the track as it is a pretty tight fit in the raised position. Pulled the car in and tucked the trailer away on the end of the house for winter. Bonus is the doors on the car open and clear the wheel wells so I don’t have to Duke it out the window!! Will resume work on it in the spring or when we pull the car out for winter maintenance.
We will end up putting a total of 4 windows in it, but only have one in for now. Those suckers are spendy!! It is to the point we can use it as soon as the weather makes it worth going somewhere. Need to pick up a small electric heater still, but will be fine for the summer time. (https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201018/b400421fd3fc4eebb8ba679fdd8d3f3b.jpg)

Sweet!
A coworker of mine back in the 90s since retired. Had a 68, RS, SS that he bought brand new after he came home from Vietnam. That was one pristine car with only 42k original miles on it.
