Not sure how long it lasts, but local Costco had trimmed tenderloins for $5.99lb yesterday... smokin hot deal.

Thanks for the heads up Nock. Going to have to go see if they have any left.

Great buy but sure looks like round, go for it

That's a smokin deal right now. Was in Costco a few weeks ago and a pack of four large steaks was almost $60. I had to ask if they open credit lines to finance such purchases

Yeah, hopefully you got what you paid for, that doesn't look like tenderloin. Last time I was in (many moons ago) the prices were crazy, a brisket was something like $120.

I will guarantee that's tenderloin.

OK, cook some up, invite me over and we'll do a proper test. :chuckle: It won't be hard to verify, I can't imagine Costco making a mistake but that fat line through the middle sure doesn't remind me of tenderloin. I might have to swing by there tomorrow and pick up a few just to make sure. I can count the number of bad meat purchases I made at Costco on one closed fist.

PS went back today and its a no go now......price was at 14.99lb. Must have been some close date whole they trimmed up and reduced.

They actually are running a sale at participating locations at $9.99 a lb July 25-Aug 2.

I just picked one up at the Covington store for $7.99/lb. Looks pretty good.
