Title: Where to sight in my rifle?
Post by: NitRally on July 28, 2020, 05:50:17 PM: Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'm trying to get set up to go out for this bear season and, I cannot find anywhere near me to sight in my rifle (I'm near marysville) any suggestions? All the gun ranges ive called are open to member only right now and I dont have a few hundred dollars to pay for that. Thanks.

I've found you have to get there really early if you want the spots appropriate for a rifle. I got to one spot the other morning at 0600 and had two other groups follow shortly behind. Did a drive past the other spots after I left and all were full, lots of people driving looking for empty spots at 0700.

Sounds like those spots are quite popular and further research is required. I have never had a person or group pull up on any public land area I’ve chosen to use for target practice.
