If this is not a intrusive question, can anyone tell me where I can get some live mussels for fishing. It is pretty pricey at the store and I have no luck finding any so far. I am not asking for those that are good for human consumption, just those that stick around the dock, and I can pry them out with out using a boat or walk in to someone private property.
I fish with them often in Los Angeles area, they are pretty easy to find under any public dock or on the jetty. I live in Everett area, If anyone know where I can find them in the Puget Sound, it would be nice.

Off the pilings of just about any dock, or along the tide line on beaches with large rocks, off mooring buoy lines, etc. They aren’t hard to find.

Yup, any dock piling, chain or rope. If you scuba dive, hit the Edmonds dive park, should be able to get as many as you can carry.
Or, wait for a low tide and hit the pilings.

Have you tried Clam necks?
I found the clam necks will stay on the hook for three or more fish, while muscles you are lucky to keep on your hook. Next to clam necks, Pile worms also work great but are getting harder to find.

Picnic point in Edmonds used to be a good place to get some off the rocks if I remember correctly.
