Took a long hike Sunday and was wondering if I would find anything. That is nothing new, I get skunked often. The weather was sunny, but the wind kept the temperature down. I haven't seen very many other antler hunters, but the lack of antlers on my pack is evidence that they're around. Maybe I just walk past the antlers. This time, around noon, I was scanning the area around me with the binos and this antler just seemed to appear. I was very grateful to find one and since I was as far as I wanted to go, I turned around and headed back to the truck. I walked through some likely spots, but one was all I came out with.

Another angle.

VERY nice. Do you love it when you are standing there and looking, and then all of a sudden there is one right in front of you out of no where. I'd probably be sick knowing how many I walk by. Looks like a great day for a hike, and more rewarding than oyu might think. Thats a great find. I don't know how many hikes I've been on and found NOTHING.
