awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, Whitman County. Sorry that is like asking how the conditions are at fish lake in Alaska...my bad.
We were going to try it tomorrow with our kayaks but my wife thinks the winds will be too intense!?!?!?!?!
Maybe we'll go to Amber if it's open.

If it's the one I'm thinking of I know a guy that owns a major part of the eastern shoreline want me to give him a call? :dunno:

Let us know how you did. The wind can get really nasty at Rock. Amber is open for catch-and-release right now. I was there sunday and caught a few.

Rock did not produce anything for us, but remember we were in kayaks and not paddling more than a few miles or so from the launch. Amber was just great before we got there, ain't that the way it is. We decided to leave Rock about 10ish and drove to Amber. We tried every type of fly in our boxes even some real ugly ones that I tied for fun with hippy beads. Tried floating line, sinking line, trolling, drifting, sitting still and working one area, nothing.
One guy had some luck on a San Juan worm early in the AM! I looked in all my fly boxes as I know I had some as we used them a lot in Alaska as soon as the ice left the lakes, couldn't find one damn San Juan worm until I got home and found some other boxes I left home.
Talked with an elderly fella that said the fish were hitting like crazy before 10 and then it just ended.
Anyway had a great day lots of sun, lots of water fowl, fresh air and fun being out with my wife.

Good to hear you all had fun. I picked up a few slowwwwwwwww.......... retrieving streamers on a floating line at Amber last weekend. I am still deciding on where to head this weekend, maybe tigers or carp or bass at Newman or Silver, maybe pike on the PO, but I think we are still a couple of weeks out until its on, maybe browns at Liberty. Let me know next time you head out. I make it out to most of our local waters pretty regularly.
