Title: Great Alaska trip!!!
Post by: dvolmer on September 15, 2020, 01:39:08 PM: Got back from another week in South East Alaska. Fishing was great! The five of us landed 17 halibut total. A 7 foot 325 pounder, 6 foot 9 inch 255 pounder, a 200 pounder, four more between 150-175 pounds each, and a bunch of 30-80 pounders. Lots of big Lings with two pushing 50 pounds and a lot more bottom fish and sea bass. Freezer is full for sure and hunting season is just around the corner. ill try to post some pictures if I can. For refrence, Im 6 foot 8 inches tall and in the straw hat.

Just went with a friend that owns a boat. He lives up there about 10 weeks a year and owns a house out on the end of Prince of Whales Island. Third year in a row for us to go up and fish with him. No guides involved.

Port Protection Alaska. There is a National Geographic reality show done there. Only way to get there is by boat or plane.
