Title: MT sharpies good news and bad news
Post by: jetjockey on October 07, 2020, 07:49:31 AM
The good news is there are a TON of sharpies in Eastern MT this year.  That bad news is there are also a TON of deer!  So if your heading out to upland country off the main highways, I would suggest only driving while the sun is up. This wasn’t the only deer we almost smacked!  We limited 2 of 3 days by 1:00.  The 2nd day we got half a limit before the wind started blowing and we were running through dogs.

Ouch! Congrats on the birds though. One of my favorite MT camp meals is fried sharps over egg noodles and brown gravy

Sounds like a great trip except for the ouch. What breed of dog are you running?

Brittany’s.  My FIL has Setters.    The totaled the 4-Runner, but I ended up with my old truck back, so life is good.
