Title: New to the game

Hey yall, I've got a baby at home and need to hunt closer to home. I'm new to hunting coyote and wanted some pointers on where to go close to home. Tahuya state forest, green mountain and the Olympic mountain are my first choice, are these places any good?

Couple ways you could go... Low and tight, or up in the NF and slim pickings!

Archery or shotgun and getting permissions on hobby farms and golf courses are going to be your highest numbers, but more frustrating.

There are coyotes in the clearcuts and even occasionally up higher, but they're very few and far between. Add in Bobcats and Cougars, and I always found it worthwhile to go high. Even when I had a few dry days. At least I was mostly alone in the woods! People are annoying. Get away from them and hunt cats!
