Can't say I am feeling sorry about California's nutria problems
https://kmph.com/news/local/nearly-1000-nutria-are-trapped-in-two-valley-counties-this-year

Wow! I'm impressed.
They have 19 State employees working on the project and they have caught 1000 Nutria, that's an average of 52 per employee. They have caught 1800 since 2017.
Can you imagine what that is costing per nutria. I'm sure that in CA a state employee makes (with benefits) well over $100K per year. Must be costing them at least $2000 per animal. I'll do it for half that cost, and I won't charge mileage.
