Title: Special permit question
Post by: oneezreiter on April 18, 2009, 09:14:38 PM
Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out this whole special permit thing, I have never applied before so I do not expect anything but I would like to know how this works.  My bigest question is if I get drawn, do I get a second tag, or do I just use my normal tag?  I see where it has a price for a second tag but I don't see where it is explained very well.  Thank you for the help.

There are a few special permits that, if drawn, allow you to purchase a second tag to use with that permit. Most, if not all, of those "second tag" permits are for antlerless hunts where the animals are excessive and they're trying to reduce numbers.

But 99% of special permits do not allow you to purchase two tags. It is simply a permit that gives you the opportunity to hunt a special season with your regular tag.

also if you draw for sheep, goat or moose there is a additional tag fee for those.

I think my moose tag was an additional $110.00
