Accoring to NW Biggame,
Beginning at the Washington-British Columbia border, the boundary line runs south along the PCT until it intersects the head waters of the Klickitat River, and continues south following the Klickitat River to the confluence of the Columbia River, west to the easter boundary of the Columbia Blacktail.

Just scored those sheds.....
stretched the tape. One bone is 72+ and the other is 70+ with almost no deductions except all on the one side. Net was 140.5 so with an 18.5 inside, a solid 159 buck. Pretty solid for a bench. Throw in all that mass he really doesn't get credit for. Only his g2s hold him back. A 160 buck I'd dump in a heartbeat.

Me and BLRMan's great Uncle shot this pig in 1925 in Lewis County, WA. It Nets 171 3/8 and 5 years ago was 4th in the World. It should be number 2 in the state. But would have to check on that.

Bone I know what you mean. Between the small back and the reductions because of it I bet it robs 10 inches from it's net score.
Bucklucky I would love to have that thing remounted. I'll talk to my brother and think about it. I want to enter it in at least the Yakima Sportsmens Show. So it would need to look good. Thanks for the kind offer ;)

What is the boundary for a deer to be considered a cascade blacktail?
The 2009 regulations defines a Black-tailed Deer as "Any member of blacktailed/
mule deer (species Odocoileus hemionus)
found west of a line drawn from the Canadian
border south on the Pacific Crest Trail and along
the Yakama Indian Reservation boundary in Yakima
County to the Klickitat River; south down Klickitat
River to the Columbia River."

Hey Colok, that is one hell of a blacktail and a trophy of a lifetime. I know it aint worth much but my opinion is that buck is a far cry from a 171 net buck, let the flames commence :dunno:

No biggie huntnphool. I am definately not an expert on scoring antlers but my little brother took it to the Yakima Sportsmens show about 6 years ago and that's what they scored it as. If you'd like I could take a picture of the tag that's behind the ear when I'm at my dad's place next time.
