Looking to fondle err I mean hold a MCS-T stock before I order one. Thanks

I had one on a 338 Lapua that I put together. There everything they advertise!

Nice looking and classic hunting design. I shoot prone or off the bench and like to spot my shots so the EH1 works better at reducing muzzle rise.
The MCS-T drops at the comb so you get more muzzle rise. i.e. center of butt pad is much lower than center of barrel. And the angle of the heel - bottom of the buttstock - is steep so if resting on a buttpad the smallest rearward movement will drop the butt - and raise the muzzle - further aggravating muzzle rise.
Again - splitting hairs but if you want a rifle to recoil straight back this design is a little harder to accomplish - but with a smaller caliber and brake wouldn't matter.
This is all theory - I have not shot one. But have had a couple Lapua's on the EH1 and like it though palm swell could be a tad smaller.

It's going to be a carry hunting rifle with minimal prone shooting at this point. The EH1 doesn't look great to carry or shoulder. Maybe I'm wrong. It will be on a 6.5 PRC with a brake.

My other option along the lines of the EH1 is the McMillan A3 Sporter. Wouldn't mind seeing one of those.

If you wanted to come check out some stocks I have an EH-1, game warden, A3, and EH2. Personally, for a more traditional style hunting stock with #3-#5 size barrel the EH2 is awesome. A3 and EH1 are very nice for shooting of bench and prone. But they are bulkier. I will say that my more heavy recoiling rifles are on bigger stocks. EH2 is for a 6 creed and 7 wsm.

For a 6.5 Hunting rifle I would lean in the direction you are going. The EH1 is a big boy.

I am limited in stock choices because it is a savage action. My 1st choice was EH2 but they told me I'd have to go with the MCS-T. I would love to check out your stocks. I'm in the Kitsap area often.
