I may have a meltdown on this one. Both me and the wife drew the multiseason elk. :IBCOOL: I'll have 9 points, and the wife only one. Will plan on hunting modern and muzzleloader. No archery. The early rifle hunts look enticing, but how does a person make the best choice on the special draws :dunno: :o OK confuse the he!! out of me :P

Tons of good choices, draw odds will be tough on all of them, just pick a few and go for it, hopefully you'll get lucky.

It all depends on where you want to hunt and what you want to hunt. I'm guessing you'd want to try for an "any bull" tag on the eastside? Or do you want to stay closer to home? If so just apply for Toutle and Margaret, both the rifle and muzzleloader permits. If you want to go for eastside bull permits, then I'd go for the ones that have the higher numbers, such as Peaches Ridge, Observatory, Goose Prairie, and Rimrock. If you'll be satisfied with just general season hunts then apply for some of the more difficult draws, like the Little Naches rifle, or some of the Blue Mts bull permits which are very limited in number.

Definitely eastside hunts will be in the mix. With the multi-season opportunity, I am willing to keep playing the odds and try for a tough to draw big bull hunt. Starting the process of elimination by stapling pages together in the regulations :chuckle: If I get lucky, then thanks to WDFW for the extra month to scout.

PM sent.....too good of information for a general public post, at least in my opinion.

Thanks Todd ;)

All if my choices are now submitted... No turning back now.

The deed is done  The odds are against us :dunno: 2 west, 2 east, 2 modern, 2 muzzle. All in October. OK Santa, I've been good  Nothing left but :ACRY: Todd, your suggestion is in the mix ;)

Just be thankful that the WDFW lets you have a list for your choice, versus say, ONE CHOICE.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. Might even make it easier to make the choice :chuckle: Say versus putting the longest shot 1st :dunno:
