And the wolves have covid.
The crows have covid.
Cats have covid.
The ocean is full of covid.
Mice have covid.
Yet I personally don't know any one who actually got sick with covid.
I call BS on this.

I posted it not to scare people but because of the possible effects on the fur market. We've known for a while mink have been getting it in the fur farms. Also there has been a question, what if it gets into the wild population ?
This article says the confined mink got over the COVID. It also says escaped mink have it.
My conclusion, wild mink are going to get it but they will likely get over it.
Thought that might be of interest to trappers.

Certainly is interesting. Also introduces the possibility of reservoirs for the virus in our wildlife. Then having mutated strains come back to bite us. Saw that the mink in Denmark? Also had corona.

Sure hope it doesn’t get into the wild population. That’s been one of my bigger fears although I supposed it’s inevitable

Yeah, it was Denmark. Denmark ordered a cull of all farm mink in response, which is... well, one way to solve the problem. I think I heard Utah has been having a lot of issues with fur farms and COVID as well but don’t quote me on that.
