It disgust me to post this as I hate thieves more than just about anything. :bash: :bash: :bash:
I was headed to the cabin this weekend and while passing my sisters property noticed the gate was open. A quick u-turn and I was headed into a scene that made me want to vomit. I immediately notice the lock was cut. Upon reaching their cabin and shop I notice the doors were kicked in and large garage door was completely blown off the rails. After clearing the house (hoping to find the culprit).....thank god for them I did not....reality set it. They had been burglarized and lots of big dollar items were gone. Called the sheriff and had to break the news to my sister and brother in law.
I doubt anything will be recovered but....you never know. Couple bigger ticket items that may be easy for people in the area to identify.
Kubota L2350 with La450s loader.
Kubota 3pt rototiller (almost new)
3pt brush mower....(not sure on make but is pictured on the tractor) May also be a kubota
2007 Yamaha Grizzly 450 quad
Lots of electronics / movie projectors / etc.
This was just north of Hunters, WA and it is thought the break in happened in the last 3-4 weeks.
I am personally offering a 5K dollar reward if the people are identified and prosecuted. If you don't want to call the cops, just call me with names and proof and I will take care of it to keep all parties 100% anonymous. PM me if you would like.....I have some identifying docs that were left behind but do not want to post them on the open forum in case they are unrelated.
Reward is tabled for now. May have a suspect but the cops now need to prove it. They have been given the information but now they need to link them to the crime. Fingers crossed.

Tractor pics
-
Disgusting. We're in Deer Park and it's happening daily. Sorry you guys had to experience this.
-
Really sucks, I hope your sister gets some her stuff back and dirt bags get caught
-
This really really blows :bash: Too bad you didn't catch them rolling that stuff down the road, Had to make several trips . Did you check for tracks , Like to neighbors ? I have freinds in Cashmere, Wenatchee and chelan i will forward your post and have them keep in eye out. Hate thieves.
-
Really sorry to see this.
I hope you catch the dirtbags and they pay a hefty price.
-
I think they're starting to make GPS transponders for stuff like this. You then could drive right to them.
-
That sucks! Always hard to believe people can get away with an entire tractor but I know of large heavy equipment that got lifted. Hope they get their stuff back.
-
Dirt bags
Hope they get caught
-
Seriously horrible..they will get theirs, it’s just a matter of time. Karma is real! Hopefully some or all of it will be recovered.
-
Man that really sucks. Thieves suck.
-
We had a bunch of that going on here. They busted the ring and got a lot of the stuff back. So hopefully they can get some of that stuff back to them.
-
Man this crap really grinds my gears. I’m tired of everyone busting their butt working to get nice stuff just to have some POS tweakers come in and take it. I really hope karma comes down on these guys hard.
-
That's terrible, jrebel. I hope that the thieves get justice, and the property recovered.
I think that those GPS trackers are getting better all the time, like another poster mentioned. Some of them can be programmed with a "geofence", a perimeter beyond which an alarm is sent to the owner.
-
This sux man...
I hate thieves with a passion. Biggest problem is there is no real recourse. They get caught and nothing happens. I know this for a fact...
Need a little old school justice.
I'll forward the info into people I know over there.
-
Thanks for all the responses.....Had I caught them, there would have been some old school justice. The crappy part about that is....they would have hung me for it. These meth head dirt bags get away with stuff like this and the good guys go to jail when they extract their last few teeth with boot. :bash: :bash:
The deputy that arrived was one of the coolest deputies I have met. Super positive and active in documenting everything. Appeared confident they would eventually catch up to whoever did this.

HillHound.....I couldn't agree more. My brother-in-law is retired from the coast guard after twenty years of service and is now working his second career. My sister is an acct. semi retired working on building a business as her second career. They have worked hard to get where they are to have this happen makes me sick to my stomach. This is their retirement property that they purchased a few years ago. They have made it their own and worked hard to get it where it is......and these assssshatss come and take a piece of it away.
It's not about the money.....its about the violation of their personal space and property.
-
Really sorry to hear about your family's loss JR!
-
That doesn't really look like a local, spur of the moment breakin like we've had around there. Suspect that was someone much more organized and, hate to say, stuff won't show up on any local markets. Not the usual stuff the druggies around there snap up. You couldn't just drive that stuff out in the open around Hunters or someone would have noticed. Really sorry to hear about this and sure hope they catch the bas_____s that did it
-
Yuck. Sorry to hear. Hope these turds get caught. I'll keep my eyes out for stuff floating around in Spokane just in case someone is dumb enough to post stuff!
-

Not if you got a guy like me on the jury, getting tired of seeing dirt bags get away with this.
-
Pretty sure they were not professionals. Lots of dumb stuff done and possible evidence left behind. The neighbor at the bottom is a year round residence and believes this happened in the middle of the night. She thought she heard them but didn’t know it wasn’t my sister and brother-in-law because it was late.
My guess is they were there for the easy Pickens and came back for the big items. Looks almost as if they spent the night. It really is disgusting. They took a ton of stuff. Silverware, broom and dust pan, blankets, coffee pot, movies, etc. they even took the shower head.
Our entire state has a meth and heroin problem. These crackheads thrive off our liberal government not holding them accountable. Add that to a huge county with limited Leo resources and this happens. :bash: :bash:
-
Didn't someone else on this site that has relatives up there recently have siding and windows taken off of a house.
Most likely the same group. Someone's homestead is growing larger and eventually someone will catch on.

Very interesting post that is in the same general vicinity.

This is my son's place in the last 3 weeks.
This is by Deer Park.
He had just bought it and the realtor had not pulled the lock box off the gate yet.
The photo of him and I was when he was showing it to his mom and I.
They left just enough studs to keep the roof standing. Since it had a 40 year comp roof. I think they are planning on a return trip. Once the roof comes down, they can saw it up in sections and then strip it out at their leisure in a new place.
-

With a front bucket on the tractor doesn't the saying I have a gun and Shovel and know how to use both apply?
-
:yeah:....to Ridgeratt
That's who I was thinking of. Someone is putting in the hours up in that area.
Lots of pre planning and looking suspicious goes in to these types of crime spree's. Someone had to see something odd and they just haven't realized its important info yet.
-
This is my son's place in the last 3 weeks.
Where is this?
-
Had it to happen to a pal near eburg
Stole all kinds of household stuff
Somebody is going to get hurt or worse sooner or later when they get caught by the owners
Too bad
The feeling of being violated never goes away
Sorry for you folks
-
Following along and keeping an eye out.
-
Neighbor flew around there in his helicopter quite a bit and says there are a lot of off the grid, semi hidden homesteads around there. I've run into a few when I got off the main drags myself. I'd be almost tempted to hire a small plane to cruise around those hills a bit and see if just maybe they parked some of that stuff outside. Not as many of those "homesteaders" as there used be, bit still few hidden away up there.
-
In deer park here too. Lots of emboldened very arrogant crack heads roaming around.
I confront everyone shady driving up and down our road. Just found out from a deputy friend they de-criminalized hard drugs. Now I know why the crack heads have been so bold. He said Stevens county is suddenly getting crazy.

Funny you say that....the deputy I talked to said the same thing. Said their hands are tied!! My guess is the freak show will only get worse as time goes on. The law makers will have blood on their hands when these crackheads start hurting innocent people, only then can LEO step in and do something.
-
Sorry to hear about this Johnny. I hope they get caught. Get some justice.

I would be willing to volunteer for seat time with an extra set of eyes. Reward would be finding the lowlife.

Everyone thinks ammo is in short supply if this keeps up might be a shortage of shovels
Just saying
That or carrion eaters will have a buffet

Stuff went out in the wee hours, when everyone who works is asleep for the night. Couple of weeks ago a LC245 excavator disappeared off a site, that was NOT a simple deal...those move on lowboys. Its probably 2-4 states away by now. :bash: :bash:
So while i HOPE they catch the bastids, its thin soup. I'll watch the local ads for matching items. :yike:
And Yes...old school justice is whats needed as the LEO's hands are tied. Just do not bury them on YOUR property, NF works.

Our Justice system is/has been broken for far to long, Maybe it's time to start giving dirtbags a real obvious reason to fear their Victims.

Leave no evidence. Their families can get rich from mistakes made. :twocents:

I have heard of many thefts in my day, but never dismantling a building and taking the wood!
Just amazing.
-
I have to think this is more than crack/meth heads. This kind of theft involves some planning and equipment (and skills).
When I worked at a bank, they said the average bank robbery had 20-40 min of planning involved. This takes much more than that. Sounds like an organized crime ring of some kind.

I saw where lumber went up 140% during this
The original post. The folks who did this had plenty of time to recon what was there and came prepared. How many people would question a tractor on a trailer on a rural road around hunters.
A couple of months ago they found a person who had borrowed 2 new tractors from a dealer in Spokane on his property.
-
They stole...the showerhead too!?
Mind blown. :o

Problem with SSS Is things can be dug up carrion eaters scatter everything
-
If we addict the wolves to meth maybe they'll start eating tweakers.
-
Unless this showerhead is gold plated or something, someone is building themselves a house with reclaimed (stolen) materials.
Sorry to hear this happened to your sis, and others.

Is was burnt bronze.....but definitely not gold. They apparently had a refrigerator and stove because they left those too.
-
Or they are just tweakers? I was burglarized once and they took/left the weirdest stuff. They left tools like cordless drills but took a clear plastic dog stocking off the xmas tree that had a dog bone in it. They took a bic lighter off the fire place but left $100 bucks in change in jar on the counter. Who knows what goes through a tweaker's head.
-
Disassembling a small house seems over the top for a tweaker!!
-
Is there such thing as a reverse craigslist add......meaning "looking for Kubota tractor, willing to pay top dollar" and see if anyone contacts. :dunno:
-
For sure...go online fishing!
-
The more that is identified as to what was taken and what was left this sounds like it was well pre planned job and took at least a couple of days unless they had a crew and equipment moving trailers, so much for observant meighbors

Knowing what I think I know......I think this was going to be a quick snatch and grab of a vacation cabin. Once they found the bigger items, I think they likely stayed the night and or came back for the big items. This was not an in and out job. It appears they had a dog with them and a couple people. I'm trying not to give to much information.....but yet enough to raise the alarm for others in the NE corner and for those who may come across the stolen items.
There has been a rash of break-ins in the area over the last couple years. It sounds like there is a couple of groups / gangs that run the area. Rumor has it the post office in hunters go broken into around Christmas as well and lots of packages stolen. Sounds like they caught some of that group and they were from one of the reservations Spokane / Colville. I would think that would have made local news / papers but I have not been able to find anything on it yet.
I'm hoping the deputies can be as proactive as I have been and maybe piece a little bit of this puzzle together. These guys were not overly intelligent and there were items left behind that give a good chance of tracking them down. Whether or not we find the items or can prove it....well that's another thing.
If we are able to prove anything and put a face / name to any of the people involved....I will make them famous in the area. Pics, billboards, names, etc. People need to know who the scum are so they can run them off.
-
My guess is that since the Kubota had to be trailered out, it is probably already across the state line. Obviously this was not a drive-by burglary. It might have been at first but this took some prior planning and heavy equipment. A camera in hindsight would have been a blessing. Hopefully they have insurance? Having experienced several burglaries myself, although nothing of this magnitude, I know the feeling of being violated and the thoughts of revenge that accompany that. Had some kick in my front door, pepper spray the dogs and steal some of my guns during broad daylight once. Luckily my wife was not home. I think the dogs barking probably saved me from more losses. The only other thing they stole was a baggie filled with fresh catnip. We do still laugh about that part when we think of them trying to smoke some of it.
-
This is just terrible. Nothin worse than a thief.
This may be a long shot, but if there is anything that you think they certainly touched, it may be worth pressing the deputy to take some finger prints. Many Many times they do not lift prints not sure if its a budget or time issue but it gets overlooked a lot.
All felons get their fingerprints taken either before or after conviction and they have a data base that they can run those through. Maybe someone pops up. Best of luck and again so sorry this happened to you sister and her family. :bash:
-
Sucks
I was just up that way looking at the 40 acres for sale from buck canyon lodge
Hope you catch em
Probably over on the rez

Id be thinking the stolen property most likely found a new home just to the south. Doubt it was anything other than someone local gone midnight shopping. Get some driveway cams and hide them high and or at plate height.
Cant trust many folks around here, buddies stuff was stolen because neighbor gal told her meth supplier when the coast was clear.

Yes....the one cam they had got stolen and was primarily set up for wildlife. Now they will have a full security system installed. They have cell service there so a few cell cameras will also be placed in strategic locations.
-
my security system would be trip wires attached to short barreled shotguns and BIG signs at property line or maybe toe poppers on the porch
-
There's been as spree of break-ins over the last few years at my buddies place just east of Hunters. Lots of stuff stolen etc! So frustrating! I'll bet it's the same guys. Sorry about your loss!
-
Was this recovered, or any chance it's being used for some of these activities?

Sounds exactly like my family friend pops scenario that happened in sprague. Over 3 years ago but same MO. In the night, took dirtbikes, quads, cars, engines, pellet stove, kicked in every last door, tried to steal the motorhome got it stuck, got locked in the motorhome and kicked out the windshield. Several sets of tires tracks, footprints in the snow everywhere. Left doors open pipes froze destroyed the entire house. Took the mattress, blankets blinds bathroom sink half the roof off the barn, guns, ammo, tools, scrap metal, water heater, gas cans, stacks of tires you name it. Sheriff set up trail cams and they came back for more the next night! Got the plates, five people in a f150 and 2 others in the Honda Civic they stole the week before, which was purple and showed up red (painted with paint stolen out of the shop) sheriff was watching for them. Plates came back to the motorhome they tried to steal. Came back again next night, tires and wheels they stole were mounted on the truck they were driving. Pops found a craigslist add for rc cars and parts ( he collected them) and identified a super rare toyota rc truck of his. Sent the sheriff in and grabbed 2 of them, the Honda and f150 were found in a local scrap yard, scrap yard got busted for illegal activities, they ratted out there partners and follow the trail turn into busting the largest methlab in spokane in many years, across the street from a huge daycare center. That area is heading down the drain that seattle and tacoma is with the commie rule going on around here. Very sorry for your losses jreb and family, but get the cameras up and watch closely, these rats come back for more. I traded pops my colt 1911 for the stolen honda we recovered just he felt safe going back home. Security cams and trail cams are worth there weight in gold when felony's are involved like gun theft. Over 300,000$ in damage, over 250,000$ in stolen goods. He gets a 30$ check a month from each of those convicted as restitution. Pathetic. Destroyed his home and everything he ever owned and they walk about on the streets to do it again because they are homeless tweekers with no life no job nothing. Disgusting waste of oxygen. The oldest one involved in the theft was 60 years old. Nothing ever made of there life's but to wreck everyone else's. Truely sorry, I hope you get the dirty rotten mouth breathing mongloids

Reward is tabled for right now. Have a lead and want to see what happens with it before proceeding.

Good luck catch the lowlifes

Couple things that were not posted originally....that at this point can be shared.
As I drove up the driveway for the first time, I noticed a couple pieces of firewood laying in the driveway. I thought that was very weird as there is not much timber and definitely not any firewood on the property that fresh. After clearing the structures I walked around outside taking pics of things that were strewn across the property. Found some mail with addresses as well as a timber cutting permit with a name and date. What are the chances there would be cut firewood in the driveway and a timber cutting permit that clearly fell out of a truck into the driveway..... :dunno: :dunno:
The signature was something to be desired so it took some time and research....but I think we have a decent lead. Now if it can be proved??? Only time will tell.
-
Get them
-
Sure hope that lead works out, just north of Hunters describes my place and your post has me really rethinking security. Always had a few tweakers in the area, but not usually to that scale. Hope you keep us updated.
-
Vigilante justice, the cops cant do anything anymore, it’s up to us now. Quit posting on the internet and put some tweakers in the dirt
-
Prove what? You just solved it. Now go get your chit back.

As much as I would like to agree.....how dumb would that be??? Property stolen.
....weeks after the fact I ruin my life and my family’s life when I go to prison for hunting down a worthless meth head. The cops have the same info as I have. It’s in their hands. If It is proven he is one of them.... them I’ll make him famous and post his pics everywhere. He will get his one of these days.
Completely different story of me or my family are threatened.....but I’m not gonna become a vigilante murderer over property. That’s why we have insurance.
-
Prove what? You just solved it. Now go get your chit back.
This is where the problem Lies.....we need to locate something that ties them to it.
Could the trailer with wood and permit have been stolen too??? Gotta tie this stuff to the crime. Some of the mail in the property was obviously stolen.
-
You've got your head on straight.
I hope you're able to prove it and put the screws to some dirtbags.

One of the best posts I’ve read in a while. Good on you!
-
Hope you get them. Stroke of luck if a tweeker got a free firewood permit.....
Side note, I've got a couple different trail camera pictures of folks on my property in last year or two. Always wonder the reason or motive. Nothing disturbed yet.
-
>:( As others have expressed, I have a particular disdain for thieves.
In December 2020 we bought 10 acres near Colville and this thread certainly justifies our decision to install cellular trail cameras (Cuddeback) for wildlife AND for security. Not quite as efficient as the Ring cameras we have at home but we should know of trespassers within a day or sooner. Hope to have the system running in a week...
Good luck with recovering all that was stolen.
