anyone have rough idea on how big this bear might be
-
That looks like a really nice WA State bear, I'd guess 185 to 205. He'd be heavier this fall. It's hard without something of known size to reference him or if we could see a front shot of his head. He's a real nice bear though.
P.S. That is a real cool trick too, taking his photo in the future like that, wish my cameras would take them 2 days before they show up, it would make setting up my treestand easier. :):)
-
I guess maybe 180...but I am no expert for sure.
-
I cant put a weight to him but I can see that his ears are coming off the side of his head and I would guess he is fairly mature. I would almost bet he is not small :twocents:
-
I would shoot him. I agree that he does not appear to be juvenile based upon the ears.
-
well thanks guys, yeah its my first week with my cam and som3 of my setting are still off like the DaTE. for some reason every time i set it, then changes so how to 10 days ahead of the original date
-
all post couple more from the other night
-
sorry but probaly the best shoulder shot i have

Yea he's got a nice wide head on him, he'd sure be a keeper this fall. Nice photos, thanks for sharing!
-
yeah his ears are out to the side, and that last shot shows he's got a pretty good crease running down the center of his forehead, he's a mature bear.
-
Giggity-giggity!
-
Thats a shooter-nice coat to!
-
i would guess 220, he looks pretty plump
-
Nice bear! 8)
-
He is gonna be a lot heavier looking in the fall. He looks pretty big already. Bear are one of those animals I am horrible at judging.
-
I am going to say around 200
-
Big enough for me
-
gotta love those spring bear hides
-
I agree with timberstalker judging by how far apart the ears are that is a dandy bear. Go shoot that one and then post the size so we will know if we are judging correctly.
-
Somewhere between 200 and 225. He is a solid bear and should gain a little over the summer. Shoot him first chance you get.
-
Im with BTKR on the 225 plus side, very nice bear. Great pics. Markts
-
first pic a thought 140 the third makes me think more like 160
-
I'd say he weighs somewhere between 220 to 240, definitley a mature bear, he'll be a real good bear this fall. I'd shoot him in a second.

hey nice pictures!! how do you like that Scout Guard??
-
Hope you've got a bear can over that camera...you'd hate to find your SD card in a pile of bear crap.
Great pics...

looks small right now but he would go 300 to 350 by summer i bet, judging by the ears layed out to the side hes probably a 4 year old bear
