Title: Klickitat river
Post by: Pits on April 20, 2021, 10:01:40 PM: Not from the area so don’t really have time to scout but just wondering how far up the klickitat river you can find birds?

You can find them all the way to the res boundary, ~40 miles. Steep country. Soda Springs Wildlife area is a big place that might be a good place to start for someone new to the area.

I would work some rougher areas and look for sign.

Post by: BUTTER on April 24, 2021, 02:40:52 PM: Lots of private. Use onx. A spot that is away frim crowds won't exist. Riad systems are all through the area. Those road systems are where the birds are. You go to an area with no road you probably womt find birds

95% of the joy of hunting is exploring the land. There are birds east and west of the Klickitat River. I only hunt public land, or Feel Free to Hunt land, and was able to shoot a bird the second day of the season.
