Gerret tell your dad congradulations agian. I followed along on-line last year and boy did you guys ever deserve a buck like that. You guys really know how to work!! A real smoker thats for sure.

I'd love to see that picture of last years buck, I wasn't a member back then so missed it.
-
I'm sure some one can dig it up. It scored just over 200" :o :o

A real toad thats for sure. If I'm not mistaken, it ended up outscoring the Gov. tag buck last year as well, and he didn't have people scouting in every unit for him either...............rf
-
Wow that was shot in WA, my hopes and dreams continue then. Where was this shot at? Not specifics but like Entiat, Chelan, methow?
-
East of the Cascades, West of Spokane, South of Canada, North of Oregon. ;)
-
Haha got it, so that was the raffle tag? How much are the raffle tickets? I never even heard about any raffles.
-
Yes it was. I believe they are still $5.00 and are a very close second to purchasing the Gov. tag. as far as hunting goes. A friend from high school won the Eastern elk tag this year, he passed on a 370+ bull as well as others so far, still looking for that 400............rf
-
I know I wouldn't have passed on a 370+ class bull, but that's just me.

hey guys, i got to go check that mag out, didnt even know that was in there. they wanted a story but i cant get the old man to write one. The measurements on it are off a little those were before it was offically scored. its just under 32 inches wide and scores 204 1/2 inches B&C. Was a very fun but stressful hunt haha. And Rob you got the location right on, how did you know?? :) Just got the mount done, got it back early, our taxi did it pretty quick so he could show it off for a bit. now its on the wall. i will try to get some pics of that for ya. its amazing. Thanks a lot guys and i will let the old man know.

I just happen to have the book sitting beside me and it says that the buck is 29" wide, 24" tall & scores 203'. It's on page 74.
-
I'm sure glad I can handle pressure well. Garrett and Mike really raised the ante on me.
-
Hey Gerrett if you don't mind do you have the picture of you and your dad on each side of the buck. That is the one I really liked. I think the guys here would like that one too. Its a great picture. Thanks again.
-
That is one amazing buck.
Following the posts of the hunt last year made me feel like I was hunting with you guys. I remember leaving the forums page up and refreshing every hour or so. Like those old time cliffhangers, LOL.
Talk about down to the wire! I would have been freaking to much to shoot straight with that boy in my cross hairs.
Seriously thanks for sharing with us.

Again that is a Great buck! My buddy missed this buck during the muzzle loader season, he was kind of depressed, lol. I remember getting the call from a different buddy 2 minutes after the shot... Great deer and glad you guys got to him after the rut so he could pass on his genes!
