Title: Anyone know torque specs for Browning X-bolt -Talley One piece bases?
Post by: Westside88 on May 04, 2021, 04:17:53 PM
Seeking torque specs for Talley lightweight one piece base/ring on a Browning X-bolt. I've looked in the owners manual to no avail. Talley's site says refer to firearm manufacturer's spec. I've found varying info online from 18-30 inch pounds. I emailed to company, but I was wondering if someone here already knows the proper spec. I've always just tightened things, but as I've gotten older, more experienced and less willing to deal with screwups I'm trying to be better about following the torques specs on things. Thanks for any insight

I looked it up on the Talley website, Lightweight Rings: 17-20 in/lb on ring screws.
Shooting forum;  base to receiver:20-25in/lbs, ring halves:15-20in/lbs
Hope this helps
