Just saw this and have to say the fine and punishment is extremely disappointing. The wanton destruction of habitat like that and poisoning the river is just not ok. I think they should have stripped the damm from that company and taken everything they had. Just keep putting nails in the coffin for those fish.

It will be appealed and probably cut in half.
Way to go WA Dept of Ecology. Get $500k, kill tons of fish and then probably spend $5M in 10 years to clean half of it up.
