Bought a really good compound Bow from a guy here at work, a PSE, can't think of the model just now. About 300$ new. got all kinds of extras with it; newly strung, arrows broadheads etc.....(he wrecked his shoulder, needed $$)
My question. Some of the arrows, nice Eastons, need new vanes. I've been looking (ok drooling) over the Cabela's catalogue at fletching jigs, vanes..
Any feedback on what you folks like best would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt buy a jig from calebas just because you can save some $$$ buying a good used one. I bought a used bitzenburger jig, and found it easy to use. I tried the 2 inch blazers but wasnt that impressed by them. i went with Vantec vanes 4 inchers with a good amount of offset. The jig cost me 40 bucks, and vanes are cheap about 10 bucks you can get 2 50 packs. Enjoy.

I think the bitzenburger is the best jig for your money, I know you can pick one up at the sportsmens warehouse or maybe wait until the Cabelas opens in Lacey and maybe get yourself a deal on one there. As far as vanes go they are cheap and you can get them at most sporting goods stores and not have to pay shipping, just make sure you get some good glue for your shafts.
