Black tail..Seen this buck in velvet 2 years in a row and always disappears early sept.. Landlord found him and his buddy bedded in the field right by the house and they had to be persuaded to leave before they let all the dogs out per my request due to the heat.. Anyone else seeing any weird black tail behavior from this heat.. Honestly I dont think its enough affect anything or cause any die off ( maybe helps predators) any thoughts? And this deers about 4 im guessing been a 2 point last 2 years and now is a 2x3 but gaining a lot of mass.. The 3 dogs always chase deer so it seems about 99.9 percent of the time they only come in at night..1k elevation

This kind of heat is tough on them but they know where the cool spots are.

They are wild animals. When it gets too hot they will move somewhere they know they can cool off. Very likely feeding at night and hanging out in shade/creeks during the day.
