Not to sure if they survived but it’s a high fenced elk area on private. Elk are privately raised and sold to hunters who want to hunt in their high fence pen. Sort of like shooting fish in a barrel. Sad to see though. State Game dept would be furious if they cut the fence and let them out to join the local herds. They Don’t want non-native genes and diseases introduced.

Yeah sounds like the guy who filmed it said they didn't cut the fence just pushed them to a safe area away from the fire. Says they survived.
