So who got drawn? One of my best friends did, let the scouting begin! I'm almost as excited as if it were me.
-

-
Claudia called all the winners today after the drawing was over.
-
350+ IMO
-
I just got off the phone with the guy that drew and I told him the same thing, 350 min. but shoot for bigger. We are going in, in the morning to begin our scouting.
-
I know of a 380 that came off the farm a few years back.
-
ive seen two 7x7's hanging out with a 8x8 in there and they were all over 350 easy. i happen to know where they live also ;)

Isn't that Larry Mohler? He shot that bull in the early 90's, didn't he? That's the coolest 6x6 I've ever seen. I love the dark horns and polished tips.
-
yeah, a few years and a lot more gray hairs
-
My buddie just got the call and he drew!! He sounded like he just won the lotto!!
-
Sweet! Hope he holds out for a good bull!!
-
Man that's a sweet looking bull
-
I'm still waiting for Claudia to call, I know I won't have to sit by the phone much longer! My wife says I should at least get away from the phone long enough for her to dust around me. Claudia if you're reading this please call soon I have to pee! :chuckle:
-
yep Larry's my dad, it's a 7X7

I've never seen it in person. All these years I thought it was a 6x6. It's an awesome bull. Does your dad still hunt in there? Are you the guy that calls cougars in there?
-
yeah he buys a permit each year for deer and he drew the spring bear tag this year...nope, no cougar calling for me
-
That is a great bull for any unit
I only seen one bigger out of the farm.

Almost everone goes rifle. Once in a while, someone will go muzzy, but I don't remember ever seeing someone choose archery.

Man I would be all over archery!!!
-
that is a very nice bull. Only a few lucky hunters get to chase those bulls around, good luck and show us pics :chuckle:
-
How do you apply for this permit? Is it through WDFW? I've heard guys on here talk about it but I don't really know anything about it.
-
If you pick archery and the tree farm closes for fire danger you are out of luck.

buy a permit and your put in
-
Muzz is the season that you want.
-
Lucky Dog!

I've seen it closed for fire danger up until a few days before rifle deer season. It probably won't happen, but with an indian summer it could. Besides, there is no problem finding a whopper in November.

Most of the bulls in there have relatively short beams and are not very wide so they look better than they score. There are a handfull of bulls in there over 350 but most max out in the 320 to 340 range. Good luck
