Title: Bitterroot Valley Ammo
Post by: timberghost72 on May 02, 2009, 08:26:02 PM
I just picked up some Bitterroot Valley Ammo in .357 mag 180 gr. jhp Bear Load. Has anyone used these?  I'm curious on the ballistics.  Can't find any online the  page is not loading on the website. BVAC.   I also want to try the Buffalo Bore .357 mag hard cast 180 gr.  What is your thoughts on these rounds?  The Buffalo Bore ballistics are nice.  I'll be using these for hiking and hunting. Gun is a Ruger Blackhawk 6 1/2".   I guess the biggest question is should I use JHP or the Lead Hard Cast?

If you decide to go with JHP try the 180gr Hornady XTP.  They shoot pretty good out of my Ruger GP100 41/2".  I'm using H110 for powder can't remember how much though.  I'll have to check my data.  I cant help you on the ammo you are asking about.  I've never even herd of Bitterroot Valley Ammo.
