My hunting partner recently moved to Ohio so by next year id like to know a guy or group to go with. I am 34 and would prefer people open to all game and methods. I am talking birds, predators, to big game. I am up for backpacking out or more comfortable methods depending on the animals we are hunting at the time.I hope to find a long term hunting partner to be able to work together with in gathering gear scoping out spots, and putting boots on the ground. I would prefer to meet and go shooting first and just break the ice there. I also have a 13 year old boy who will join on some trips so having kids yourself is even better but he is just getting into it and most my hunting i do by myself or with friends.
What do i bring to the table? I am willing to hike till i drop dead but i am not in excellent shape not bad shape either. this season i hiked probably 14 miles a day 7 days straight waking up at 4-5am and down at 11pm the whole time, many of these days were pouring rain. I am getting better all the time at logging signs, and spotting animals further and further away. I know many spots for many species and enjoy sharing them as long as the favor is returned. I prefer to work as a team collectively gathering intel and spots and sharing and trying them than hoarding them all to myself. I am new to reloading but open to sharing gear for this and doing this with others as well and developing loads for specific rifles and hunts. I know many spots to go shooting outdoors from 40 yd ranges to over 200 yd ranges and even up to 600 yd. all free to go to. I am safe with my firearms in all situations and am not looking to go hunting with the guy shooting shotguns 1 handed to be cool or flagging people at the range if you dont avidly practice safety, responsibility (both on public and private land especially), cleaning up after yourself in nature and at a shooting pit then this wont work out and please dont even respond. I take things seriously when it comes to how i leave a place i blessed with access to and learning whatever i pursue and how to be safe. but outside all that im a fun guy who enjoys a laugh, and a good time, a game of poker, and a beer. I can be opinionated, i can get hyper focused on learning and achieving a goal, but i can also relax sit still and let the wind or life throw in a storm and sit through it. If your looking for the same reach out and lets go shooting. Im in Marysville and have hunted most the state but closer is easier for meeting throughout the year and planning in person, but im open on this part.

I was thinking about putting up this same post here in a few more months so I cant help myself but reply. Names Donnie I have no experience or skill in anything outdoors and im dead set on changing that. I am 31 and was a big target shooter and did reloading in my early 20s but life goes weird sometimes and distractions happen. I have kept my interest but never got out to do anything about it just sat on my ass watching hunting and survival youtube videos while spiraling out of shape. I'm about 6 foot 5 and got up to a max of 450lbs not exactly anyone's hunting buddy of choice. As we all know it's been a crazy few years and lots of time for self reflection I'm down 75lbs and on a mission to be in proper shape for hunting next year. I have started fishing local lakes with no luck but that's fine gets me out and moving around I recently got a canoe but have not gotten it out on the water yet. I am interested in hunting and fishing all species also very interested in trapping and taxidermy. I have a 6 year old boy and I live in everett. I practice safe firearm handling and leave no trace behind while outdoors dont drink but I smoke a little pot at the end of the night. I am hoping to go on my first hunt in may for spring turkey
